Fragrant Flowering Winter Borders and Winter Walk
A Great Day Out In The Countryside
Estate Picture 7Estate Picture 8
The Estate supports a good diversity of bird and other wild life. Little owls, kingfishers and kestrels nest each year as do green woodpeckers that can be heard drilling and tapping in February. Hobbies are regularly seen. Robins, wrens, nuthatches and flocks of long tailed tits are just a few of the resident birds commonly seen during the winter months. The stream and two small lakes in the garden encourage dragon and damsel flies to breed and there are colonies of frogs and toads. Hedgehogs, foxes, moles, voles, shrews, water voles, rabbits and hares live here - and there is even a resident polecat!
